  • wine-damaged "They Serve Themselves" 7"
    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

A few years back, Gary spilled a bottle of wine into the merch box and all over a bunch of copies of "They Serve Themselves" on black vinyl. These vinyl have just been sitting in a bag up in Lev's loft since then, drying out, even after we sold out of all our other copies of the EP, because it never felt right selling something that's not in brand new condition. It's time we got rid of them one way or another, though, so if you want one you can pay what you want for them from 50p up here. The inserts may look and feel a little water-damaged and the actual vinyl may need a little wipe, but I don't see any reason why the tunes wouldn't play absolutely fine; I doubt the wine was acidic enough to melt the grooves in the record, but then it does seem to have melted the grooves in Gary's brain so you never know.
Regardless, whatever you decide to pay for this will be taken as a donation directly towards the Minnesota Freedom Fund (minnesotafreedomfund.org) or organisations recommended by the Minnesota Freedom Fund, as will the money for anything else you buy from us today while BandCamp are waiving their fees.
We'll send out the records we perceive to be in better condition out to people who donate more, but in all honesty if you're not the type of person who isn't picky about the sleeve being in perfect condition then every single one of these will be fine for you.

For complete transparency, whatever you pay for postage will be used for postage (any change WILL be donated though), which is why we've dropped postage costs to NON-tracked for today to keep that cost down. In buying something from us today you accept the risk of anything getting sent getting lost in the mail, but if you want to message us to arrange tracking anyway then we'll do that. You can also still select "Afghanistan" as usual to just have a record set aside and pick it up from us at a show or whatever, whenever the hell we can have one of those again, but note that BandCamp will still add 25p for this (if anyone knows a way to do optional NO SHIPPING choices on BandCamp, let me know).

lyrics

You know this life is a fight.
Put your fists up.

Valour and self-confidence; These are things you'll need if you're planning to succeed.
Purpose and straight common sense; You don't need to fight, wait until the time is right, coz
You've fallen, you've fallen behind, You've missed your calling and you're losing your mind,
But don't stop searchin', Don't stop lookin', Coz this life's an open book and there's still so much to find.

Life's a battle against time,
You'll never win.
Show some spine and you'll be fine, now.
Take this world on with a grin.

Last warning, You better listen to it,
Coz you know you'll never do it by just wishing your way through it.
Each morning, When you open your eyes,
Take this world as your prize and cut 'em down to size.
The shape you take when the stakes get high dictates your fate, defines you from I,
But the shape you take when the stakes get high can be what makes you break down and scream at the sky.

Life's a battle against time,
You'll never win.
Show some spine and you'll be fine, now.
Take this world on with a grin.

Life's a fight,
Take it on.

Put your fists up.
